Timeless Quotes

This tutorial was written by me, NaughtiAngel, on February 5th 2008,.

Any similarity to this tutorial is purely coincidental, it is a combination of things I have learned.

This is what we will be making,

Supplies

You will need PSP & Animation Shop

Tubes of Choice. I've used the lovely work of Keith Garvey. You must purchase a license to use his work HERE

Mask by Me

Template by me to reduce the number of steps in this tutorial

A Scrapkit which has 4/5 flowers of heart elements that tone well or can be colourised nicely to match your tube. I used a paykit from

Kay Miller Designs for this example.

A Bling - Optional. You can find a selection of blings HERE

Font of Choice. I used TheNautiGal which is a pay font, so i'm unable to supply.

A quote, I use google to find a quote to that matches my tube.

You can drag this arrow down the page with you to keep your place in the tut.

Shift D to copy your template and close the original.

I've stored the information in the alpha channels for the rings so select the outer ring layer and go to

selections - load selection from alpha channel

Select Outer Circle and click load.

Flood fill with a dark colour from your tube.

Select your inner circle layer and this time load inner circle from the alpha channel and fill with a light colour form your tube.

Hide the Background and Layers - Merge All

Add a small drop shadow.

Unhide the Background and Select it.

Copy your tube and paste as a new layer.

If you have copies then using these settings.

If you don't have copies just duplicate your tube layer lots of times and then arranage them to cover the canvas.

Effects - Xero Grayscaler with the default settings.

If you don't have grayscaler then just colourise and adjust the saturation down to 0

Then apply your mask with these settings.

Merge group

Ok scrappy flowers/hearts

Resize them all down to usable sizes they look better if they aren't all exactly the same.

Copy and paste your flowers/hearts and arrange randomly all over your circle.

Like so..

When your happy hide the background, mask and ring layer and merge all visable.

Copy and paste your tube and position.

Select your text tool and choose a nice font. I used TheNautiGal is one of my favs!

Type out your chosen quote.

Then convert to rastor and add a slight glow using the eyecandy 3. I used a dark colour from my tube.

Type out your name and position.

Add your copyrights and tag credits.

Now if you'd like it animated

Edit - Copy merged.

Open A/S and paste.

Open your bling of choice and (Ctrl A) to select all frames.

Duplicate your tag till you have the same number of frames as your bling. (Crtl A) to select all frames

.Click the Propogate Paste button

Using the pointer drag the first frame of the bling over to the first frame of your tag.

Check your Animation runs smoothly and Save.
