Rocker Chick

It is my own creation - any similarities to another tutorial is purely coincidental.
Some knowledge of Photoshop CS2 and Imageready CS2 is required.
Supplies:
Tube of Choice
I used the awesome artwork of Popeye Wong - www.popeyewong.com
Mask of Choice

Font of choice
I used Brush Script MT
Mura's Meister - Copies
Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact - Brushed Metal

Alright! Let's get started!
Open new canvas - 500 x 500 transparent
Flood fill white.
Drag over your tube of choice and duplicate once.
Hide tube copy layer.
Select remaining tube layer and apply Mura's Meister - Copies with the following settings
Drag over your mask of choice and resize if needed.
Apply layer mask by going Channel tab - load channel as selection button at the bottom
Go back to the Layers tab - make sure your copies layer is selected and press the apply layer mask button at the bottom of the window
Should have something like this if you used the provided mask:
Select your Custome Shape Tool and choose a preset shape of choice
I used the Flower 2 preset shape.
Create a new layer and place shape in desired size.
Make sure you can still a little of you copies layer under it
Refer to above tag for reference.
Rasterize layer
Duplicate shape layer and hide the copy for now
Apply Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact - Brushed Metal to shape layer.
Use the Factory Settings for Circular Steel
Click the Basic tab and change the color to a bright color from your tube
Should have something like this:
Select your Custom Shape Tool again.
Create a new layer.
Choose a different preset shape and place is within the first one.
I used the Seal preset shape.
Rasterize layer
Apply Brushed Metal - Factory Setting - Circular Steel
Apply an Inner Shadow with the following settings:
Distance - 3 px
Choke - 13 %
Size - 4 px
Press OK
Should have something that looks like this:
Unhide your preset shape copy and move it below your second shape layer
Apply a drop shadow of choice and set the layer to Multiply.
Create a new layer and move it inbetween the layer you just did and the one with the colored circular steel applied to it.
Your layers should look like this:
Select your paint brush tool.
Select the Soft Round 100 Pixels brush.
Draw a white line across the layer you created so that it extends beyond the eges. (Hold your shift key to get it straight)
Press Ctrl + T for your free transform tool and rotate the line to -40
Move the line so that it's at the bottom right corner of your canvas.
Change the Opacity to 90%
Select your copies layer and press Ctrl + E to merge down with teh white canvas underneath.
Duplicate layer.
Select your shape 1 layer and using your magic wand - select the area around the shape.
Right click and click the select inverse option.
Go back to the background copy layer and press delete.
Move it up under your layer that you set to Multiply and above your line layer.
Your layers should look like this:
Unhide your tube copy and duplicate.
Hide the copy and select the original.
Press Ctrl + T to open your free transform tool.
Move and resize tube so that the face (or desired part of the tube) is within the middle shape.

Highlight the second shape layer and using the magic wand tool – select the surrounding area
Right click and choose the select inverse option.
Go back to your tube layer and right click selecting layer via cut
Set layer style to Overlay
Delete the tube layer you just cut from.
Should look something like this.
Unhide tube and place where desired – add drop shadow of choice.
Add your name with a stroke and a drop shadow of choice.
Add a saying of choice.
(Optional: You can add a stroke or outer glow if you want to your saying)

Add copyright.
Now Let’s Animate!
Click the Edit In Imageready button at the bottom of the tool bar.
Create a new frame in the animation bar.
Select the line layer.
Select the move tool.
Move the line to the upper left hand corner – make sure you can’t see any on the big shape
Go back to the first frame and select the tween option from the animation menu
Enter these values:
You should have 12 frames.
Select all frames and set the delay to 0.12 sec (click the other… option and enter the value)
Check you animation and adjust as you see fit.
Use these values in your optimize window.
Click File – Save Optimized As…
Give it a name and location that easy to find and you’re done!
