It's the Final Countdown!

This tutorial was written by me Dani on the 7th of February 2008.

A working knowledge of PSP is required for this tutorial

What You will be making:

WHAT YOU NEED / SUPPLIES:
- You will need PSP & Animation Shop
- Tubes of Choice. I've used the work of Popeye Wong.
- Fonts of Choice.
- Dsb Flux / Bright Noise

Lets Begin.
Open a new white canvas – 450x400.
Add a new raster layer.
Select the square tool using these settings.

Make a medium sized square on the upper left side of the canvas. If uncertian about size use given example.
Convert to Raster.
Select your Text tool with any font, and size and write '31'. Place it on the top left corner of the square like so.

Now un select the background layer and Merge visible.

This is the part where it will be used as animation
Select a font of choice. Make sure its in the middle of the square and type '3'.
Convert to Raster
Follow this step 2 more times but the numbers counting down.
Follow the step one more time for the animation write but write 'Happy New Years'
To make the counting down to look more realistic you must follow these steps closly.
Un select background layer and square.
Duplicate each visible layer.
On each duplicated layer add a blur to them.
Adjust > Blur > Motion Blur
Use these settings.

Now duplicate your square layer 7 times.
Un Select all layers but the first set of layers. (The Regular 3 and the first Square)
Merge Visible
and repeat the rest of the layers until next step.

Now that the animation is done, its time to add your tube.

Open your tube and copy and paste as a new layer. Resize if needed.
Add a drop shadow with these settings

Duplicate 7 times.

Now open up the disco tube I supplied. and paste as a new layer.
Duplicate it 7 times.
Add bright noise to every duplicated layer of the discoball. (your choice of settings)
Effects > Plug-Ins > dsb flux > bright noise
Now the rest is up to you, how you want to put your name, the copyrights.
Make sure you make 7 duplicates and merge each one by one.
Time to animate
After you merged all your layers together properly and to your likings all you need to do it one by one copy and paste your image to animation shop.
Make sure you preview the new creation and make sure you like it before saving it.
