Lets Begin!!

1.
Open a new canvas 400 x 300, raster background, transparent

2.
Set your foreground/stroke to a nice dark color, I used #c42858. Set your background/fill to a nice light color, I used #f9d8e3.

3.
Change your foreground/stroke to foreground/background gradient.

4.
Grab your flood fill tool, flood fill your canvas with the gradient.

5.
Selections/Select all (CTRL A)

Selections/Modify/Contract by 10

Swap your materials, clicking on the little curved arrow in your materials palette to switch foreground and background.

Flood fill this layer by pressing the right mouse button.

6.
Selections/Modify/Contract by 10

Press the delete key on your keyboard

Layers/New Raster Layer

Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom

Selections/Select None (CTRL D)

Flood fill this layer with your light color.

Lower the opacity to this layer to 70

7.
Now for the brush toothy5

Layers/New Raster Layer

Grab your brush tool. Find a brush that you like.

I’m not sure where I got mine, but I used cdsign-squarebrush008.

Change your foreground color back to your dark color.

Click once on your canvas

Lower the opacity to this layer to 40

8.
Image/Canvas Size 500 x 500
NOTE: This is so you can add your tube and have it hanging over the frame, like mine.

Now for your tube I used some pink tulips that I got from a tutorial I did a while back.
I don’t know the artist of these very pretty tulips, but if you know the name of the artist, I would be glad to add that to my tag. Just email me or pm me.

Copy (CTRL C) your tube and paste as a new layer (CTRL L)

Resize your tube if need be. If you’re using the tube I used, resize to 60%.

Use your mover tool to move it where it looks appropriate, I moved mine to the right and down a bit, so it looks like the tulips are hanging over the frame.

Drag this layer above the frame layer (Raster 1)

10.
Now for your text, grab your text tool and choose a nice font of your choice. I chose Hansa. Settings ~ Create as: Vector, Size: 72 (depending on length of name), Stroke Width: 1

Click on your canvas, when the box pops up type your name in. Click Apply

Now you can rotate it by moving your cursor over the note in the middle till you get 2 little curvy arrows on the end of your cursor. Click on it and turn it a little so your text is slanted over the tulips.
